UPDATES to QuickWeb

QuickWeb is a wonderful little program that allows you to boot quickly to access the web and your e-mail. This review is being done in QuickWeb. Like much new software QuickWeb is ready for some improvements. I found QuickWeb purely by mistake on this HP mini. An annoying screen kept loading instead of Win 7. One day I decided to explore the problem just for the fun of it and found QuickWeb (Splashtop) For serious users like me there are several small problems that need to be updated. First, there is no update. QuickWeb was written using Linux I believe which means that there should be a fair amount of stuff on the web about it. Programs, apps, etc.-- nothing! Next, It's based upon Mozilla software. Great, but there is no way to update the browser to the latest version of the web browser with all the new security features and apps that are part of Mozilla. Admitedly, the program does not allow access to the hard drive, but who knows what's out ther on the web sniffing for holes in the software. Third, Most annoying is the performance of the mouse pad under QuickWeb. If the cursor touches a radio button, the program loads. If it sweeps over an e-mail it loads. Sometimes the cursor scrambles all over the screen. No way to access mouse properties or setup. Needs fixing. Last, There should be a way to allow QuickWeb to load the wireless or LAN connection on boot. Add a box in the setup that would allow this to be turned on or off.
