Syncables software
Date:January 18, 2011
Syncables has a major failing in my estimation. It will not sync your Outlook calendar. I've asked them when they were going to add that feature for more than a year and have yet to get an actual date. To me the calendar is an essential item to sync.

Simplicity, redefined

One of the problems with a lot of the so-called 'great software companies' today is that their products are too often overcomplicated, with more features than the majority of their users will be able to understand how to use. The secret to why HP QuickSync works so well for so many people: because it was 'designed for the novice', but 'configured for the pro'. It is just incredibly simple to use. I can't think of a simpler product...maybe old fashioned instant messaging?
It will sync just about anything, across Mac, PC, etc., and it just works (those of you who have spent countless hours trying to get your latest software purchase to 'just work' will understand why I include this as a major benefit).
Nevertheless, every piece of super intelligent software still has its achilles heel - HP QuickSync isn't compatible with the iPad, or iPhone.
So, Syncables is the company that builds the core software product for HP QuickSync. I know because QuickSync worked so easily it was like I'd used it for years, so I explored if there were 'pro features' configured for an enthusiast like me...and I found Syncables. I upgraded to version 7 to get their extra suite of features...let's just say my HP netbook is now even More useful.
