Photo paper tray is a bust on PC

I'm experiencing the same problem as others are having with the photo paper tray. I simply CANNOT get this printer to print from the photo tray no matter what I try.

No way to set default to main tray. Printing test photo from ipad, no way to select main paper tray.

The only print I have been able to get out of the photo tray was the test picture. No matter what the setting, I can not get it to print a photo from the PC.
So I don't see much benefit in having a separate photo paper tray. Thanks anyway HP

Only provides guide for printing from memory card. As far as I can see the printer will not use tray 2 6X4 when printing from PC
