Printing on legal size paper

I had bought an hp printer and it quit working so I went to buy another one. I had bought an hp 4040. I could not get the same printer when I went to buy another one, so I bought an hp 3050. Now, it will not print all of the text on legal size paper. No one can figure it out. I cannot get it to work and it is very frustrating. I will not ever buy another one.

Until I recently bought a new computer, I had a 6310 AIO and a Hp 720C both servicing my computer. The new Dell will not provide a hookup for the 720C. I hate to loose a good old standby printer, but I guess progress has it's price. I have used two hp AIO models during the time that the 720C has been used as a standby. Before I started using the AIO's I had a scanner, fax machine and the printer all working together.
