I have no use for a print copy of the reviews, I want the insructions on how to do things, and there is no option to just print that.

This is a good article, but it really needs to be updated. XP and 7 have a lot of different features, and those of us who have recently purchased new computers need more information on Windows 7.

My h/p (new Windows 7) doesn't have Add/Remove Programs.
Article appears to have been written for the XP/Vista Operating Systems. Took me a while to ffigure out where the heck it was. W7 documentation is poor, and h/p's is not much better/current.
A/R Progs on _my_ h/p is a Control Panel; Program Features.
Windows 7 has the Accessories folder that XP had - no sense in reinventing that (thank you, Microsoft). The Ststem Tools are as the article referenced.
Setting up customized user folders is a bit different, but easier to figure out than Add/Remove. See the "Libraries" icon in the taskbar or in 'Computer' in Windows Start.

Back when computers were first introduced to the public in 1974, it took some brains to program and use them. As they advanced in their power and speed, they became easier to use and people began to rely on them to make decisions, rather than provide us with the information to make decisions ourselves. Now we have seen the Windows operating system progress to the point that it assumes we are all total idiots, which we actually are now due to letting computers make our decisions for us and allowing them to virtually control our lives.

It's useful

There are many things in here that help me, as I appear to be much less computer-literate than I thought I was. I did not know XP was so obsolete. That's the system I was using when my computer died. 7 is proving a challenge for me and I am grateful for any help at all.

Windows XP? The current standard is Win7 and Win8 will come out this year. Few people use XP anymore. Even though it is out of date the article was well written. I would guess the article was written about 7 years ago.
