Thanks for the info on this lightscribe technology. I bought the wrong type of DVD disc and am now going to return them to get the correct "lightscribe" ones. In the store, I got conflicting info on this subject of which is the correct type of disc to use. One told me you can use any CD, DVD disc and another told me you can only use those that are labeled "lightscribe". Thanks to HP for setting me straight on this.

Wow! That's an amazing innovation. For those of us who do not have color laser printers but need a permanent, professional looking finish on our CD's or DVD's, Lightscribe seems just the ticket. I personally am in the market to replace my current burner in my Mac G5. Now that I know what it is, I really want Lightscribe capabililty! I can't believe this informative and well organized FAQ page prompted such a whiny, juvenile attack.
