I am also totally lost! I just purchased a higher-end HP computer and am now at the point of asking them to take it back. The computer was purchased for the purpose of editing family videos. Two months later, I am no further ahead. The new computer does not have FireWire and Windows 7 does not support USB streaming so I am at a loss as to how to transfer videos from my Sony camcorder to the computer! HP's response to date has been to refer me to Sony!
I was directed to t his page from the LIGHT SCRIBE web page and found nothing worth the time it took to scan through. I have a light scribe disk drive, that will not function as it should. I just wasted $80 with light scribe to find that the download does not work. Now after all that they directed me to your page and there was nothing that I could recognize to help me get the light scribe drive working as it should How can I recover the drivers from the recovery disk?????
I'd love to create customized CD's and DVD's. The ideas and opportunities sound great. Unfortunately I have no idea what the programs are, where to find them, etc. This site can be very frustrating sometimes.
