Just Excellent - However!!!
Date:June 23, 2012
"Everything about this 6560b is Excellent, however, I also would have liked to see a back lit keyboard as an option or as a standard feature. Surely this is not too much to ask for?
And Yes, I utilize the Serial DB-9 Serial Port in my profession as well."

"I could not make a configuration myself cause i received this laptop as a replacement for my previous model.
To be perfectly honest I was disappointed because this was the first time my company bought something other than dell latitudes.
But I was pleasantly surprised with the smoothness and quality of this product.
This machine is smooth and speedy, it acts almost as fast as a desktop pc, even though it has only an i3 2310m processor. I would also prefer the HD+ display (choose this if you are buying it for yourself). I love the large touchpad (there is a scroll zone actually even though it's not marked). The battery lasts a lot, always more than 4 hours and this is a 6 cell only model, which is amazing.
The things that I don't like? Not much really, the color of the chassis is a bit unusual but you will get used to it, and the HD monitor with 1366x768 resolution should not be even offered for business laptops with 15.6" monitors, it needs to be HD+ (1600x900) or greater resolution only.
Almost forgot, the up and down cursor keys are my biggest complaint - they are really too small!
But after all, this is really a high quality product.

Great... only laptop with serial port
Date:May 15, 2012
"I was looking for a new laptop that has a serial port. After searching long and hard, this is the only laptop in production that has a real serial port.
Only wish a back lit keyboard was an option, other than that I am very happy with the purchase."

OK, but Mousepad frustrating
Date:March 29, 2012
"A solid laptop that performs well without too much noise. My only frustration, and this is a big issue - is the mousepad - it is so large, and so close to the keyboard, that without realising it, you may have more than 1 finger resting on the touchpad. Of course this means that a browser may inadvertently resize, or the mouse just does not move at all - Very frustrating."

"Good points:
- Good power and memory, much faster than my last desktop which was a good spec.
- Best touchpad I have ever used.
- Impressive battery (I only have 1 installed). Outlasted a twin battery Dell machine, over 5 plus hours of use.
- Good loud speakers.
- Nice soft touch keyboard.
Bad points:
- A bit on the hefty side, seems quite large.
- Sharp edge of front really hurts your wrists, how this got through testing i don't know, most laptops are smoothed/rounded here. I end up with painful marks where my wrists were resting.
- No scroller built into trackpad unless I'm missing something.
- Screen seems very easy to smudge compared to my Dell.
- Petty but the left hand shift key is tiny and I end up hitting \\\\\ all the tme !

Solid Business Notebook
Date:April 15, 2011
"I am very impressed with the quality and performance of this laptop. I always get a business class HP every few years, and I just upgraded from my 6715b, which was pretty solid. This new 6560b is very sleek, and the aluminum case feels very sturdy. It is so much faster than my old model, it boots very quickly even with a lot of applications loaded. The only thing I don't like is the DVD-ROM button, it is in a difficult spot due to the angle of the side of the laptop. It may have been designed like that on purpose, because when putting it in a bag it is unlikely to get pressed. I've pulled my 6715 out of my backpack and had the drive almost get ripped out. The keyboard is "clicky" which is really nice compared to the softer keyboard on my old laptop. One last nice thing is that it still has a serial port, which is useful for configuring routers and specialized IT equipment."
