"Our reseller recommended these printers to us based on their placement as statement printers a bank operation center. We use these in high volume billing and records printing operations in the healthcare industry. Out of the 6 devices we purchased 3 years ago, all are still in operation and half of them have over three million prints and are still going."

"This printer replaced an 8150 and has been equally reliable. It prints quickly and rarely has any problems.
The one reason I can't recommend it is that the paper try priority is the opposite of normal HP printers. My staff of 30 have been having continuous problems with tray selection. It appears that HP made this printer pull from the bypass tray first, before any standard trays. Unfortunately, this makes it very frustrating to configure when you use multiiple different types of paper. Ideally, the printer should pull from the standard trays first and only look to the bypass tray if the requested paper type/size is not found. Instead, it will always pull from the bypass tray first. My staff are starting to learn how to select the tray in the printing preferences, but they can no longer depend on the printer being smart enough to see that plain paper should pull from tray 2 or 3 and ignore the labels that someone else loaded into tray 1. Very, very frustating."
